What is Your Life?
(Evangelist Robert Simpson)

The Word of God says in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

2 Corinthians 5:1, 6-8 says, “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

And the Word of God says in Philippians 1:21, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

Now the one who has gone on to heaven is in a better place. He is living in the presence of Almighty God! He has joined that great cloud of witnesses, looking down upon us today. As he looks down, who does he see? What is he thinking about you and I?

More importantly, what does God think (or know) about us? What is God’s desire for your life?

Where will you be after this life? Can you say that it will be better for you? Hebrews 9:27 says, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

What is Your Life? How can you honor the one that you loved? How can you honor the One who loves you? James 4:14 says, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

Only one life
will soon be passed
only what is done for Christ will last!

The Apostle Paul said, “for him to live was Christ!” “for him to die was gain” What about you? How is your life right now? Where will you live for eternity?

Christ wants to be your Lord and Saviour! Would you be willing to get on your knees before Him right now and ask Him to save you? Confess to Him that you know you are a sinner and that He is the ONLY one who can give to you salvation. Ask Him to come into your heart and life. If you mean it from your heart He will save you this very moment.

If you truly are a Born-Again Christian, are you living your life for CHRIST? Are you seeking to glorify HIM in all that you do? Are you serving HIM? Right now you can present your body, your life, your all, as a LIVING sacrifice. (Romans 12:1,2) The LORD is worth everything that you are. Give it to HIM!
